Job ID 1571125

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative designer and content creator to make an impact across two distinctive Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) schools.

Working across Sutton High School and Brighton Girls, you will create engaging visual and audio-visual content that brings each school’s story to life, celebrate student achievement and help us connect with current and prospective families.

Two days per week will be spent at each school, with the option to work from home one day per week. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required to support school events such as open mornings.

It is a varied, hands-on creative role spanning graphic design, digital content, photography and video. You will produce materials for websites, social media and digital campaigns as well as publications, brochures, event materials, presentations, displays and other marketing and admissions activity.

You will work closely with marketing and admissions colleagues across both schools, turning briefs into distinctive, audience-focused creative work while maintaining the individual identity of each school and working within GDST brand guidelines.

Your work could include creating campaign assets and open day materials, designing publications and displays, filming and editing interviews or event highlights, producing short-form video and motion content for social channels and adapting creative ideas across different formats and audiences.

You will also liaise with external suppliers where required, help maintain shared digital assets and contribute ideas that improve the quality and effectiveness of creative content across the schools. The role offers plenty of variety, autonomy and the opportunity to see your work used across a wide range of high-profile communications and events.

About You

You will bring experience from a design, creative content or marketing environment, together with a strong eye for layout, typography and visual storytelling.

You should be confident using design tools such as Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, Canva and video editing software, with experience producing digital content for websites, social media or marketing campaigns. Experience capturing and editing photography or video would also be valuable.

You will be comfortable managing several projects and deadlines at once, interpreting creative briefs and adapting your work for different audiences and channels. Just as importantly, you will be collaborative, organised and detail-focused, with the creativity to generate ideas and the practical approach to turn them into high-quality finished work.

Relevant experience could have been gained through employment, freelance work, placements or volunteering, and relevant training or professional development in graphic design, digital design, content creation, marketing or a related discipline would be an advantage.

Benefits

As part of the GDST, the UK’s leading network of independent girls’ schools, we can give you access to a wide community of expertise, professional development and opportunities to share ideas and best practice.

Benefits Include
  • Competitive salaries and pay progression
  • Extensive professional development opportunities

  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Competitive terms and conditions of employment
