Job summary

Severn Trent Water is seeking a Design Manager based in Bromsgrove to guide the Mains Renewal Programme from design through handover. You will lead a design team, coordinate with supply chain partners, and ensure delivery to time, cost and quality targets in a regulated water environment.

Ideally you will have a technical engineering or design background, strong CDM and risk-management experience, and proven mentoring and stakeholder-management skills.

Qualifications

• Ideally qualified in a technical engineering or design discipline.
• Experienced engineer with a strong background in design.
• Experience leading design teams in regulated environments (water or gas).
• Experience implementing CDM regulations in the design process.
• Strong understanding of risk management in construction and operational design.
• Experience building capacity and mentoring engineers.
• Excellent stakeholder management with internal and external partners.
• Able to make educated judgments in ambiguity and see the bigger picture.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Design Business Lead and deliver the Mains Renewal Programme.
• Lead a direct team and work with supply chain partners to deliver design, delivery and handover.
• Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders for successful project outcomes.
