Job summary
ACS Performance Ltd in Cradley Heath is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead a dedicated design and CAD team within a specialist sheet metal fabrication business. You will oversee designs from concept through manufacture and installation while remaining hands-on with technically challenging projects.

Qualifications
- Experience designing complex sheet metal fabrications or architectural metalwork.
- Proficient Autodesk Inventor 3D modelling.
- Proficient AutoCAD 2D drawing.
- Ability to understand manufacturing constraints and design for manufacture.
- Experience producing detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Experience leading a CAD/drawing office team.
- Strong communication with customers and sites.
Responsibilities
- Mentor Designers and CAD Operators and coordinate workload.
- Ensure drawings are accurate and meet deadlines.
- Lead design of complex sheet metal fabrications and architectural metalwork.
- Produce manufacturing drawings with flat-patterns and bend allowances.
- Translate 3D models to CNC/nested data.
- Collaborate with production, sites and customers.
