Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group in Berkshire seeks an experienced Design Manager or Senior Project Architect to lead design delivery for new build and refurbishment schemes valued £5m–£25m. You will coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, manage budgets and programmes, and ensure compliance with client requirements.

The role requires a strong background in construction delivery, excellent communication skills and the ability to drive projects to successful completion within time and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Engineering/Construction background or Architectural background
• Strong technical, commercial knowledge of construction methods and materials
• Experience delivering new build and refurbishment schemes as Design Manager or project architect
• Excellent communication, negotiation, planning and problem solving skills
• Motivated, proactive, able to work in a team and deliver to programme and budget

Responsibilities

• Deliver new build and refurbishment schemes as part of main contractor projects
• Coordinate design delivery across civil, structural and architectural disciplines
• Manage budgets, specifications, programmes and procurement lead times
• Proactively resolve design issues to keep projects on track and within scope
• Work with clients, consultants and site teams to ensure successful delivery
