Job summary

Keyman Personnel is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead façade remediation, re-cladding and external wall projects. The role focuses on coordinating design information, resolving technical issues and ensuring surveys, dimensions and design details are tightly controlled before procurement and delivery.

Direct Building Safety Regulator experience is essential for this role, with hybrid working and a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Direct involvement with Building Safety Regulator.
• Experience with BSR Gateway submissions and regulator RFIs.
• Strong façade, re-cladding or external wall project experience.
• High-rise residential or higher-risk building experience.
• Ability to review drawings and identify technical or compliance issues.
• Experience coordinating designers, consultants and technical information.
• Strong understanding of design control, surveys, dimensions and buildability.
• Comfortable managing several design programmes at the same time.
• Strong communication with internal teams, consultants and project stakeholders.

Design Manager - Façade Remediation

Location: Leicestershire / Midlands

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000+ negotiable, depending on experience

We are looking for an experienced Design Manager to take a lead role across façade remediation, re-cladding and external wall projects.

This is a technical design-management position, not a purely drawing-based role. The focus is on coordinating design information, resolving technical issues, supporting regulatory submissions and ensuring surveys, dimensions and design details are properly controlled before procurement and delivery.

Direct Building Safety Regulator experience is essential for this role.

The Role

As Design Manager, you will coordinate façade remediation design and regulatory information across multiple projects. You will work with internal teams, external designers, consultants and site teams to keep design programmes moving and ensure technical issues are properly reviewed, resolved and documented.
