Job summary

Arcadis in Cambridge is seeking a Design Manager with experience in Defence or Technology sectors to lead the design team and manage client scope, budget and timescales. You will engage with clients and stakeholders and work closely with the Arcadis Project Manager to deliver successful outcomes.

You will coordinate with procurement, planners, environmental, construction and operations teams, facilitate meetings and workshops, identify risks, and drive high-quality design decisions through

Qualifications

• BA/BSc/BEng or MA/MSc/MEng or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Defence and/or Technology sector experience desirable.
• Chartered or equivalent accreditation recommended.
• Design management experience in a client/consultancy environment preferred.
• Knowledge of BIM-led design and Autodesk products.
• Strong integration, stakeholder and communication management.
• Awareness of programme software applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery and integration of multi-disciplinary design projects.
• Provide leadership, direction and delivery excellence.
• Drive high-quality design decisions through collaboration and creativity.
• Understand PM concepts, tools and techniques.
• Coordinate design activities with procurement, planners, environmental, construction and operations.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success.
