Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Design Manager to lead design delivery within the Defence or Technology sectors, coordinating internal and external design teams to align with client scope, budget, and timescales. You will work closely with the Arcadis Project Manager to drive delivery excellence and ensure collaboration across procurement, environmental, planning and operations functions.

You should bring Chartered accreditation or equivalent, experience in a Client/Consultancy environment, and strong

Qualifications

• BA/BSc/BEng or MA/MSc/MEng or equivalent in a relevant discipline+.
• Defence and/or Technology sector experience desirable.
• Chartered or equivalent professional accreditation recommended.
• Ideally prior Design Management experience in a Client/Consultancy environment.
• Knowledge and experience of BIM-led design and Autodesk suite of products.
• Strong focus on integration, stakeholder & communication management.
• Awareness of using programme software applications.
• Excellent written English and technical report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary design projects to meet client scope, budget and timescales.
• Develop and maintain design delivery with internal/external teams, partners, and procurement.
• Promote collaboration, challenge, innovation, and creativity in design decisions.
• Understand PM concepts, tools and techniques; apply them to project delivery.
• Coordinate design activities with procurement, planners, environmental, construction & operations teams.
