Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Design Manager with Defence or Technology sector experience to lead multi-disciplinary design teams and ensure Deliverables align with client scope, budget, and timescales.

You will coordinate with procurement, planners, environmental, construction and operations teams, facilitate workshops, manage design risks, and work closely with the Project Manager to deliver high-quality design outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in a relevant engineering or design discipline.
• Chartered or equivalent accreditation recommended.
• Experience in Defence or Technology sectors desirable.
• Experience in design management within client/consultancy environments.
• Proficiency with BIM-led design and Autodesk tools.
• Strong integration and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written English and technical report writing.

Responsibilities

• Guide internal and external design teams to meet scope within budget and timescales.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to align design with project goals.
• Facilitate meetings and workshops; identify design and project risks.
• Coordinate design activities with procurement, planners, environmental, and construction teams.
• Support delivery leadership to ensure high-quality design decisions and delivery excellence.
• Work with Arcadis Project Manager to achieve client outcomes.
