Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Assistant Design Manager for Defence/Technology projects in the UK. You will lead design teams, coordinate with procurement, planners, environmental, construction and operations colleagues, and report to the Design Project Manager.

You will facilitate meetings and workshops, manage design risks, promote collaboration, and ensure deliverables align with budget and timescales. A relevant degree and chartered accreditation are preferred, with BIM/Autodesk experience

Qualifications

• BA/BSc/BEng or MA/MSc/MEng or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Defence and/or Technology sector experience desirable.
• Chartered or equivalent professional accreditation recommended.
• Ideally prior Design Management experience within a Client/Consultancy environment.
• Knowledge of BIM led design and Autodesk products.
• Strong focus on integration, stakeholder and communication management.
• Experience with programme software applications and clear English writing.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Arcadis Project Manager to achieve client and company outcomes.
• Manage technical delivery and integration of multi-disciplinary design projects.
• Promote collaboration, challenge, innovation and delivery excellence.
• Understand PM concepts, tools and techniques.
• Use interpersonal and influencing skills to support successful outcomes.
• Handle changing priorities and plan multi-disciplinary engineering solutions.
