Job summary

Poolhall Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Design Manager to lead coordination on complex structural, industrial and large-scale construction projects. Hybrid role with an office near Slough and occasional site reviews.

You will manage design programs, liaise with architects, engineers and subcontractors, ensure design information is issued on time, and support project delivery with practical design solutions. Salary £45,000–£60,000 DOE.

Qualifications

• Degree (BEng/MEng) in Civil or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Previous Design Manager or related role within construction.
• Experience on structural, industrial, commercial or large-scale projects.
• Understanding of BIM processes and design coordination.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design Coordination & Management: Manage the design process from post-tender through to project completion.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the key link between design, commercial, and site teams.
• Quality & Compliance: Review designs for compliance with specifications and standards.
• Client & Project Support: Develop practical, cost-effective and buildable design solutions.
