Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Design Manager – Architectural Metalwork for a Kent-based role. You will produce GA drawings and 3D models from engineers’ designs, liaise with clients and contractors, and detail fabrication/prep drawings to ensure on-site buildability.

Ideal candidates will have 2D/3D AutoCAD experience, fabrication design knowledge, and strong communication and time-management skills. Independent and team work will be required in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 2D and 3D AutoCAD experience is essential.
• Fabrication design experience and/or steelwork/metalwork knowledge (balconies, stairs, balustrades) encouraged.
• Strong communication, time management and attention to detail are required.

Responsibilities

• Produce GA drawings and 3D models from engineer designs.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, architects and engineers to obtain information.
• Detail fabrication and prep drawings.
• Work with production and design engineers to ensure drawings are suitable for on-site buildability and fabrication.
