Job summary

Randstad CPE in Bristol is recruiting a Design Manager to deliver schemes from bid through to site, covering education, student housing, and mixed use projects with values up to £150 million.

We welcome experienced Design Managers or ambitious Design Co-Ordinators ready to step up, with MRICS being a plus; external training is available to help you gain chartered status. Competitive salary, car allowance and annual bonus on offer.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification or working towards chartered status.
• BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with building regulations and design management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design work from bid stages through detailed 2nd stage and on-site delivery.
• Coordinate with teams across Education, Student, BTR, retail and offices.
• Ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act and project governance.

Job description

We are recruiting for a Design Manager for a national contractor from their regional office in Bristol.

They are one of the largest contractors in the UK and are a family run, profitable business with a secured future workload and cash in the bank.They operate in the education, student and BTR, retail & leisure, mixed use development and office marketplaces and schemes are won through 2 stage frameworks or repeat business from delighted clients and range from £30 to £150 million in value.

The Bristol office is up and coming and covers Bristol and the South west down to Plymouth and Exeter and due to a number of recent project awards they are looking for Design experts to join them.

The role is to work on schemes from bid stages and then through the detailed 2nd stage before taking onto site and helping build and deliver the scheme so bid it, win it, 2nd stage it then take to site and deliver it - full life cycle of the project.

They are looking for either experienced Design Managers who want the opportunity to get involved in full life cycle of a development and actually have your voice heard and ideas taken seriously or ambitious Design Co-Ordinators ready to take the step up and with the implementation of the building safety act if you are chartered then that would be advantage - if not they are happy to help with the external training to get you there.
