Job summary

Intro Group is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join its Northern team in Manchester. You will lead and coordinate the design process across 1–2 live projects, ensuring programmes are design-led, compliant and delivered on time and within budget.

Reporting to the Regional Director, you will manage consultants, subcontractors and internal teams, drive design programmes, and mitigate risks while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to deliver high-quality technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Design Manager with a main contractor.
• Strong technical understanding of construction methods and building regulations.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and design consultants.
• Able to oversee 1-2 projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Degree or HNC/HND qualified in a construction-related discipline is desirable.

An established main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager to join their Northern team based in Manchester.

You'll oversee the design process on 1-2 live projects at a time, ensuring design is coordinated, programme-driven and delivered to the highest standard from pre-construction through to completion.

The Role
