Job summary

Kier Group plc. is recruiting a Design Manager to join the Anglian Water team, based in Lincoln / Norfolk.

You will lead the design phase of construction projects, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence and quality standards across non-infrastructure and wastewater projects within the IOS Framework. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, experience on complex technical projects, strong organisational and communication skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and BIM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience on complex technical projects with delivery for time, cost and quality.
• Strong organisational, planning and time-management abilities with excellent communication.
• Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, Revit, BIM; strong IT literacy.
• Full driving licence for mobility across offices and sites.

Responsibilities

• Optimise the engineering assurance process for designs developed by design partners.
• Manage design change and act as the primary contact for technical queries during construction and design phases.
• Collaborate with the client to understand and deliver their requirements.
• Ensure adherence to design quality procedures and the right-first time philosophy.

We're looking for a Design Manager to join our Anglian Water team based in Lincoln / Norfolk., We're seeking a skilled Design Manager to join our dynamic and growing team. You'll manage the design phase of construction projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll play a key role in leading engineering support, ensuring design excellence, and managing design stakeholders and deliverables across the Anglian Water portfolio of non-infrastructure and wastewater projects within the IOS Framework.

What will you be responsible for?

• Optimising the engineering assurance process for designs developed by design partners
• Managing design change and serving as the primary point of contact for technical queries during both construction and design phases
• Collaborating with the client to understand and deliver their specific requirements
• Ensuring adherence to design quality procedures and the 'right-first time' philosophy
• Ensuring compliance with Construction Design & Management (CDM) regulations and managing design-related health and safety risks

You hold a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in an engineering discipline or related field

• You have demonstrable experience working on complex technical projects and supporting delivery for time, cost, and quality
• You possess strong organisational, planning, and time-management skills along with excellent communication abilities
• You're proficient in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM) and have strong IT literacy
• You hold a Full driving licence for travel to various offices and sites
