Design Estimator – Electronic Security Systems

Location: Remote (UK-based)

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Company: Global Security Integrator

Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 + Benefits

As a Design Estimator, you'll be the bridge between concept and construction, playing a pivotal role in creating detailed, competitive bids that win business.

This is a remote role, but you’ll be plugged into a tight-knit, collaborative team across Sales, Operations, and Engineering. Your insights will help shape major international installations.

What You’ll Be Doing: Your day-to-day could include:

1. Preparing complete bids and estimates for physical security works
2. Reviewing RFPs, drawings, and specs to determine scope, costs, and technical requirements
3. Analyzing blueprints and layouts for equipment take-offs (CCTV, access control, infrastructure)
4. Attending pre-bid meetings and site walks (when needed)
5. Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers for pricing and technical support
6. Detailing infrastructure specs — servers, workstations, network backbone
7. Supporting vendor prequalification and full tender packages
8. Collaborating with Sales & Operations to build tailored project solutions

What You Bring: This role is ideal for someone who:

1. Has experience as an Estimator, Design Engineer, or Bid Coordinator in the electronic security space
2. Knows their way around Genetec, Lenel, Software House, or similar systems
3. Reads drawings, tech specs, and RFPs like a second language
4. Has worked with tools like Excel, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar - this would be advantageous
5. Communicates clearly across teams — bridging Sales, Engineering, and Project Delivery
