Job summary

Nicholsons Sealing Technologies Ltd is seeking a Design Engineer to join its engineering team to drive next-phase development. You will respond to customer enquiries, develop technical specifications and design bespoke seals and gaskets using CAD tools.

The role involves 2D/3D design, drawing register maintenance, and cross-functional collaboration. You will apply FEA (ANSYS) and testing to validate performance and support Sales with product range expansion, while building strong customer

Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and communication skills for internal and external liaison.
Ability to perform engineering calculations, review applications and specify product requirements.
Creation of engineering drawings and maintenance of technical files using CAD tools.

Responsibilities

Respond to customer enquiries and develop technical specifications.
Specify catalogue parts and design bespoke seals and gaskets.
Create 2D drawings and 3D CAD models; maintain drawing registers.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure design suitability.
Utilise Finite Element Analysis to develop part designs and perform testing to validate performance.
Develop customer relationships and support Sales while expanding product range.
