Design Engineer – Fire Suppression

Location: Birmingham (office‑based for the first 6 months). After the initial period, hybrid working will be available subject to performance and agreement with your Design Manager. You will also attend occasional UK site visits for surveys, progress reviews, drawing mark‑ups, and client design meetings.

As a Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering high‑quality fire suppression system designs across regional projects.

How you will do it

• Interpret and develop customer design requirements
• Ensure design schedules support approval, fabrication, and construction deadlines
• Work closely with sales and contract managers on specifications, installation requirements, and bracketing
• Complete Design Risk Assessments
• Maintain regular, clear communication with clients
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project handover from sales through to completion
