Job summary

ProTech Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Design Engineer to join a medical device manufacturer near Ware, Hertfordshire. The role offers a 4.5-day week with Friday afternoons off and a sociable team environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience or a strong technical background as a graduate, with hands-on design experience and proficiency in SolidWorks. You will contribute to the full product development lifecycle and own project elements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering or similar.
• Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred).
• Understanding of engineering drawings, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on approach to design and problem-solving.
• Positive attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Involved in full product development cycle from concept to prototyping and testing.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to translate ideas into feasible designs.
• Take ownership of tasks and contribute to a varied workload.

Are you an ambitious Design Engineer looking for a role where you can really get stuck in?

We're recruiting for a fantastic medical device manufacturer looking for a Design Engineer to join their small, friendly and sociable team.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with 1-2 years experience, although we'd also love to hear from enthusiastic graduates with a strong technical background.

You’ll be involved in the entire product development process, from initial ideas and 3D design through to building prototypes, testing and seeing your designs come to life.
