This is fantastic opportunity to join an innovative automotive manufacturing business, who due to success, are looking to expand their design team with the appointment of a Design Engineer.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience of fabrication design using plastics and sheet metal materials, be proficient with Solidworks and have some automotive design experience.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with Sales/project team and clients

• Designing concept models from brief, ready for customer sign off

• Carrying out full 3D design of concept to the point of releasing fabrication drawings and dxf’s

• CNC programming the full 3D design using Swood (Integrated with Solidworks)

• Draughting full manufacturing drawings ready for release to the workshop teams

• Creating Bill of Materials, audit trails and releases of design/product changes

Qualifications

• Education or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical discipline
• 3D CAD experience
• Proficient in Solidworks
