Solar PV Design Engineer X2 - Home based - Operator

Due to rapid growth in the energy sector, we have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Solar PV Technical Design Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take the next step in their career and make a significant impact on one of the world’s leading energy suppliers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the design process, including shading analysis, 3D modelling, electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams, using AutoCAD.
• Performing computer simulations of solar PV systems to optimize performance and energy production.
• Reviewing and approving solar PV designs, and recommending technical improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, or performance.

What we need from you:

• 7-10 years of experience in Solar PV design.
• Proven engineering and design skills with experience across various PV schemes, including rooftop and ground-mounted systems.
• Strong knowledge of PV manufacturers and components.
• Experience in detailed design aspects such as wiring, containment, as-built drawings, scaffolding, and fall arrest/work restraint systems.
• Proficiency in PC software tools like MS Office, AutoCAD, PV*SOL/PVSyst, and other modelling software, with willingness to learn new tools.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation concerning HSSE, construction, and services installation.
• Formal training and thorough understanding of CDM responsibilities.
