Job summary

PBSC UK is seeking a Design Engineer to design stainless steel/sheet metal components for machinery and cleanroom equipment. You will use Inventor to develop GA and manufacturing drawings and collaborate with suppliers and customers to drive design development and approvals.

The role requires 5+ years in design engineering within a machinery/manufacturing setting, with Inventor 3D experience. Knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD 2D, and Vault/PDM is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Inventor 3D experience required (SolidWorks experience will be considered).
• AutoCAD 2D experience preferred.
• Vault or PDM experience.
• Experience of working within a machinery and manufacturing environment.
• Ability to produce manufacturing drawings and layouts for sheet metal products.
• Knowledge of drawing and design standards.
• IT skills – Including Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the field of Design Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Carry out design functions using Inventor software.
• Production of GA drawings.
• Production of manufacturing drawings and BOMs.
• Ensure all designs comply with the required contract specifications.
• Liaise with suppliers and customers as directed for the purposes of design development and approval.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of designs.
