White Label Recruitment Ltd seeks a Design Engineer in Wakefield to design stainless steel and sheet metal components for machinery and manufacturing environments. The role offers a clear path for progression within a dynamic team.

Key responsibilities include creating Inventor-based designs and GA drawings, producing manufacturing drawings and BOMs, and ensuring compliance with contract specifications while Liaising with suppliers and customers for development and approval.

Qualifications

• Educated to HNC level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3D CAD experience.
• Experience of working within a machinery and manufacturing environment.
• Ability to produce manufacturing drawings and layouts for sheet metal products.

Responsibilities

• Carry out design functions using Inventor software.
• Produce GA drawings.
• Produce manufacturing drawings and BOMs.
• Ensure all designs comply with the required contract specifications.
• Liaise with suppliers and customers for design development and approval.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of designs.

White Label is representing an engineering and manufacturing company in Wakefield that requires a Design Engineer with experience working with stainless steel and sheet metal products within a machinery and manufacturing environment to join their team.

• Working Hours: 40 hours per week with flexible start/finish times within 7:30am - 5pm
• Holiday Allowance: 23 days holiday + bank holidays

Duties of the Design Engineer

• To carry out design functions using Inventor software
• Production of GA drawings
• Production of manufacturing drawings and BOMs
• Ensure all designs comply with the required contract specifications
• Liaise with suppliers and customers as directed for the purposes of design development and approval
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of designs

Experience required of the Design Engineer
