Kier Group plc in the UK is seeking a Design Engineer to join our team across multiple locations. The role covers civil, structural and geotechnical disciplines with agile working and 40 hours per week.

Design Engineer We're looking for civil, structural and/or geotechnical engineers to join our team in various locations around the UK. Locations: Birmingham / Bristol / Cambridge / Cardiff / Glasgow / Leeds / Liverpool / London / Manchester / Newcastle / Norwich / Plymouth agile working, with up to 1-2 days per week from home if desired Hours: 40 hours per week flexibility on hours available if desired Salary: Starting from £40k per annum Sector: Working across all areas of the builtenvironment Join us as aDesign Engineer and become part of one of the UK's leaders in temporary works design and management and construction-related technical services. As part of our 100-strong team, you'll get to work on hundreds of projects across one of the most diverse and high-profile portfolios in the country, with access to Kier's £11bn+ project pipeline supporting complex construction and major infrastructure schemes from concept through to delivery.
Are you Practically-minded, with a strong grounding in civil, structural and/or geotechnical engineering principles and knowledge of applicable design standards? Working towards Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer status (CEng or IEng) or of equivalent experience? Do you Enjoy applying first principles thinking to real-world construction challenges, combining a keen eye for detail with sound engineering judgement, a focus on safety, buildability, sustainability and a flair for innovation and creative problem-solving? Have experience of temporary works design and/or management, or other practical construction experience? Have strong organisational and communication skills, and enjoy working as part of collaborative teams?
