Your new company
Joining a developing business as the new Mechanical Design Engineer, based at their West Tyrone HQ, you will play a role of significant importance. Our client has a long history within the Heavy Engineering sector and has always worked hand-in-hand with some of the leading local crushing and screening companies. They have now created a new company brand in which they are developing their own range of mining equipment to take to market.
Your new role
As the company's first ever in-house Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take on an important role in which you will fully develop a range of equipment from initial concept through to delivery. You will play an important role in R&D, product prototyping, testing and simulations right through to production. Working with an outsourced team of engineers, you will develop products which provide much-needed solutions to the mining/quarrying sector where gaps in the market have been identified. Working closely with the company director, in partnership you will design and develop a range of machinery to really put the business on the map.
What you'll need to succeed
This Mechanical Design Engineer role is ideally suited to someone with a high level of engineering aptitude, who is innovative by nature and enjoys the challenge of designing a product from scratch. This role could be suited to both a very experienced engineer and a more junior engineer with a desire to progress. The successful candidate should have a degree in an Engineering-related discipline, experience working in a Design role within the heavy Engineering sector and a high level of technical ability in either SolidWorks or Creo (Pro-Engineer).
What you'll get in return
In return, the successful Mechanical Design Engineer will get a truly unique opportunity to join a developing business at an exciting time. In this role, you will be given creative control and the opportunity to take ownership of the development of a range of innovative engineering solutions. The successful candidate will be rewarded with an attractive salary and the opportunity to build a team around them in time. A genuinely fascinating role not to be missed out on. #4682962 - Matthew Connolly
