Job summary

Soho House, a global private members' club, is seeking a Design Director to lead the Soho Home Design team in London and translate the creative vision into distinctive product directions across furniture, upholstery and decor.

You will work closely with the Chief Creative Officer to deliver seasonally cohesive collections, maintain brand language, mentor the design team and ensure high-quality, commercially viable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a senior design leadership role within interiors, furniture, homeware or related creative environment.
• Develop a recognisable design point of view that feels distinctive and ownable.
• Experience leading and developing a creative design team.
• Strong understanding of furniture, upholstery, lighting, décor and interiors.
• Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes, manufacturing processes and product development.
• Experience developing collections from concept to production.
• Ability to balance creative ambition with commercial and operational realities.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills to articulate a creative vision to stakeholders.
• Highly organised, decisive and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Collaborative and confident working with senior leadership, suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of luxury, hospitality and premium interiors.
• Genuine curiosity for culture, art, fashion, architecture, travel and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the creative direction for Soho Home across seasons.
• Translate the wider Soho Home vision into clear product and category direction for the design team.
• Maintain a strong, cohesive creative point of view across all collections.
• Lead seasonal sketch reviews and ensure designs progress to finalisation.
• Provide leadership to the design team and mentor designers.
• Collaborate with Product Operations, NPD and QC to deliver design ambition to production.
• Ensure design integrity is maintained through development and production.
• Work with suppliers to push quality, craftsmanship and innovation.
