Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong design leadership and experience managing design teams.

• Degree in Architecture or Interior Design; chartership is an advantage.

Role Description

The Design Director will lead the design vision and delivery of workplace projects, ensuring that each environment aligns with client strategy, brand, and functional requirements. This full-time, on-site role in Bracknell involves overseeing the design process from concept through completion, guiding the design team, and ensuring smooth cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong design leadership and Design Management skills, including team guidance, project oversight, and quality control across multiple workplace projects.
• Expertise in Branding and Architecture to create environments that reflect client identity, culture, and strategic objectives.
• Experience in Product Design and its application within interiors and workplace environments, including furniture, fixtures, and user-centred spatial solutions.
• Proficiency in Construction Drawings, technical detailing, and coordination with contractors and consultants to ensure accurate and buildable designs.
• Professional experience in commercial interiors, workplace design, or related sectors, ideally including fit-outs, refurbishments, and laboratory or academic spaces.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams, with strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Relevant degree or professional qualification in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related discipline; professional registration or chartership is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar), and familiarity with UK building regulations and industry standards.
