Job summary

Chroma Recruitment is seeking a Design & Development Engineer in Leeds to drive product development from concept through design and prototyping. You’ll work on electro‑mechanical devices used in harsh environments within a supportive team and benefit from a strong bonus scheme.

The role covers material science, R&D and hands-on testing, with autonomy and collaboration across the Product Development team. A competitive salary and benefits package await the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/D in Mechanical Engineer, Material Science (or similar).
• 3D CAD experience with SolidWorks or similar tool.
• Proven full lifecycle product design and development.

Responsibilities

• Take new products through the full design lifecycle.
• Involve material science, R&D, CAD design, DFM and simulations to prototyping, assembly and testing.
