Job summary

Oriel High School in Crawley is seeking a Design and Technology Technician to join the team for term-time only plus INSET days. The role involves preparing materials for DT lessons, maintaining machines, ordering consumables, and handling various admin tasks. Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson materials for both practical and theory Design Technology lessons.
• Clean and maintain basic machines and equipment.
• Order and store consumable materials.
• Perform administrative tasks as required.

About Us

We enjoy the modern facilities of a purpose-built school. We need to appoint a Design
and Technology Technician to join our team of enthusiastic, supportive and
committed staff.

You will be responsible for:

• The preparation of lesson materials for both practical and theory Design
  Technology lessons


• The cleaning and maintenance of basic machines and equipment


• Ordering and storing consumable materials


• Administrative tasks

If you are an enthusiastic, outgoing and flexible team player we would like to hear from
you. It would be an advantage to have some experience of practical work and/or
working with tools and machines (essential training will be provided).

Job Details

Salary: Grade 5 - £18,443.00

Contract Type: Term Time Only plus INSET days

Working Pattern: 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday
