Job summary

Oriel High School is seeking a Design and Technology Technician to support our DT department. The role involves preparing lesson materials for both practical and theoretical sessions, maintaining basic machines, and handling consumables and administrative tasks.

The successful applicant will be a flexible team player with a willingness to learn and contribute to a busy school environment. Experience in practical work or with tools is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with practical work or working with tools and machines is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to prepare materials for both practical and theory Design and Technology lessons.
• Good organisational and administrative skills for ordering, storage and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stage lesson materials for Design and Technology lessons (practical and theory).
• Clean and maintain basic machines and equipment used in lessons.
• Order and store consumables, manage stock, and assist with basic procurement.

• The preparation of lesson materials for both practical and theory Design and Technology lessons;
• The cleaning and maintenance of basic machines and equipment
• Ordering and storing consumable materials
• Administrative tasks

If you are an enthusiastic, outgoing and flexible team player we would like to hear from you. It would be an advantage, but not essential, to have some experience of practical work and/or working with tools and machines (essential training will be provided).
