Altrincham Grammar School for Girls is seeking a part‑time Food Technician to support the Design & Technology Department. The role involves assisting staff, preparing materials for practical lessons, and maintaining equipment, with a focus on health and safety compliance.
Training as a first-aider is possible and CPD opportunities are available. Working hours are around two hours daily (1.45–3.45 pm) with flexibility to agree exact times to suit the school’s needs.
The Design and Technology Department is comprised of three teachers based in three teaching rooms. Another technician takes responsibility for supporting resistant materials and product design. Duties in the department will include providing ancillary help and enabling the school to make the maximum use of its facilities. The successful candidate must be prepared to train as a first-aider.
Ideally, the food technician will work two hours a day (the current technician works from 1.45 to 3.45 pm). However, there is flexibility to agree the exact times worked to meet the needs of the successful candidate and the school.
