Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher for a long-term opportunity at a welcoming secondary school in Brighton. Starting in November 2026, the role will run initially until Christmas 2026.

The successful candidate will teach Art, with Photography included, inspiring students to explore techniques and build confidence and practical skills. Experience in secondary education or as an ECT is welcome.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Art at secondary level or suitable ECT training.
• Strong knowledge of Art with ability to teach Photography.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons that encourage creativity and self-expression.
• Teach Art and Photography, developing students' artistic and technical skills.
• Introduce students to a range of techniques, concepts and creative approaches.
• Encourage experimentation, independent thinking and confidence in students' work.

Supply Desk is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher for a long-term opportunity at a welcoming secondary school in Brighton.

Starting in November 2026, this role will initially run until the Christmas break, making it an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking for a short-term placement with the potential to make a real impact.

The successful candidate will teach Art, with Photography also forming part of the role. We're looking for someone who can bring creativity into the classroom, inspire students to explore different artistic techniques and help them develop their confidence and practical skills.

This opportunity would suit an experienced Art Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is passionate about their subject and confident creating engaging lessons for secondary-age pupils.

• Demonstrates effective classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Can engage students of different abilities and encourage their artistic development.

• Is available to start in November and commit through to Christmas.
