TeacherActive Limited. is seeking an enthusiastic Art Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Keynsham. The role starts after October Half Term 2026 and runs until Christmas, with potential extension for the academic year.

You will deliver Art lessons to KS3/KS4, promote creativity and technique, and support students of varying abilities with engaging, differentiated activities. The school values creativity and aims to help every student reach their potential.

Qualifications

• QTS with Art specialism required; ECTs welcome.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school based in Keynsham, offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic Art Teacher to join its teaching team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about creative education and inspiring young people to develop their artistic abilities.

The school is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Art Teacher on a full-time basis, starting after October half term and continuing until Christmas, with a strong possibility of the position extending for the remainder of the academic year. The successful Art Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring Art lessons across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, encouraging students to develop their artistic skills, creativity and confidence while exploring a range of artistic techniques, styles and materials.

The successful Art Teacher will have:

• QTS with an Art specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching Art within a secondary school setting
• Strong knowledge of the Art curriculum across KS3 and KS4, with the ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A genuine passion for inspiring young people through creativity, practical activities and the visual arts
• Strong communication skills and a positive, adaptable approach to supporting students of varying abilities
