Job summary

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust (SWB) is seeking a Consultant Dermatologist to join its established Dermatology Team. The post involves general dermatology, paediatric dermatology and skin cancer clinics, with opportunities to develop sub-specialty interests and to participate in teaching and research.

The successful candidate will join a department with an outpatient area, skin theatre and a busy teaching and research environment, and will contribute to in-hours on-call duties.

Qualifications

• MRCP or equivalent is essential.
• Full GMC Registration or eligibility is required within 6 months of interview.
• Higher Degree desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide dermatology services including general, paediatric and skin cancer clinics.
• Participate in in-hours on-call rota; no out-of-hours commitment.
• Develop sub-specialty interests aligned with service needs and contribute to teaching, training and research.
• Contribute to the department's teaching, research and audit activities.
