About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel - Derivatives with a strong background in Debt Capital Markets, specifically focusing on structured products and derivatives. This is a 6-month full-time contract based in London, with a hybrid working model (3 days in the office). The role is ideally suited to candidates with recent Private Practice (PP) experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the establishment and ongoing maintenance of both on and off-balance sheet structured product programmes.
2. Advise on securitised and OTC derivative transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
3. Work on hedging arrangements within the context of complex structured finance transactions.
4. Assist with structured repos and securities lending arrangements.
5. Contribute to the structuring and execution of repackaging transactions.
6. Provide regulatory guidance related to the above areas.

Must-Have Experience:

• Solid background in Debt Capital Markets, particularly in structured products and derivatives (note: this role does not involve ISDA documentation).
• Recent Private Practice (PP) experience is essential.
• Deep understanding of the legal and regulatory aspects related to structured finance and capital markets products.
