Job summary

JLL is seeking an HVAC Engineer for a Derby-based role on client site Rolls-Royce. You will design, install and maintain air conditioning systems across commercial/industrial settings, collaborating with teams locally and globally to deliver optimal work environments.

The position emphasizes safe work practices, flexible hours including scheduled on-call duties, and a readiness to engage in a range of systems from splits to central plant.

Qualifications

• C&G 2079 Cat1 qualification.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• F-Gas certification.
• Strong mechanical and electrical background.
• Solid understanding of health and safety obligations in maintenance.
• Willingness to work out of hours on a scheduled callout rota.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Proficient with IT packages including Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete PPMs and reactive works as scheduled, including breakdowns.
• Carry out install work, retrofits or system replacements.
• Troubleshoot and fault-find on air conditioning systems.
• Produce quotations for works/remedials following service visits.
• Work on splits, VRFs, AHUs, DX systems and some central plant.
• Work independently and with the team as required.
• Complete FGAS paperwork on sites and update client logbooks.
• Be part of the Out of Hours Call Out rota.
