Halifax-based manufacturer is seeking a Deputy Works Manager to lead production teams, drive efficiency, and uphold quality and safety standards. The role involves coordinating labour, materials and equipment and collaborating with internal departments and suppliers to meet delivery targets.

Applicants should demonstrate strong leadership, organisational skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, with a proven track record in manufacturing environments.

Formación

• Experience as Deputy Works Manager or similar within a manufacturing organisation.
• Strong ability to organise, delegate and communicate.
• Ambition to develop their skills and career.
• Ability to lead from the front and communicate effectively.

Responsabilidades

• Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to production teams, ensuring targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards.
• Monitor productivity, workflow and resource utilisation, identifying improvements to maximise operational efficiency.
• Take ownership of attendance, performance and conduct matters, addressing issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure health, safety and compliance standards are consistently followed, promoting a strong safety-first culture.
• Coordinate labour, materials and equipment to support smooth production operations and minimise downtime.
• Work collaboratively with internal departments, suppliers and subcontract partners to maintain delivery performance and quality expectations.
• Produce clear operational reports, highlighting risks, challenges and resource requirements while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities of the Deputy Works Manager will include:

• Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to production teams, ensuring targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards.

• Monitor productivity, workflow and resource utilisation, identifying improvements to maximise operational efficiency.

Salary & Benefits:

• Up to £50,000 p/a depending on experience

• Bonus scheme
