Berkshire Sensory Consortium is seeking a Deputy Supported Accommodation Manager to assist the Supported Accommodation Manager and safeguard residents across our homes.
You will work across Kingston, New Malden and Maidenhead projects, covering early and late shifts and joining the on-call rota to ensure continuous support for vulnerable young people.
The HOST provides supported accommodation, targeted and tenancy sustainment services to young people aged 16 - 25 including care leavers, unaccompanied asylum seekers and families. The service directly manages Beverley House, which provides supported housing for seven young people & Green Leas, which provides 16 supported flats for care leavers and one emergency room. It is a 24 hour, seven day a week service. The service is currently opening a new home in Maidenhead for 20 care leavers. You will be expected to work across all our supported housing projects, currently Kingston, New Malden and Maidenhead.
As Deputy Supported Accommodation Manager you will support and deputise for the Supported Accommodation Manager in their absence for all day to day operations and hold shared responsibility for all safeguarding for the young people at the two homes. You will ensure that the young people in our service have a safe environment and are empowered to reach their full potential, which at times may include addressing complex needs often coupled with the impact of a history of childhood trauma.
Your working hours will include shifts on the project rotas which includes two early (starting at 8am) and two late shifts (finishing at 10pm) and you will be part of the on-call manager rota for the HOST service.
