Job summary

Thera Trust in the Norfolk area is seeking a Deputy Support Manager to assist the Support Manager in leading teams and delivering person-centered support that meets regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements.

You will mentor teams, coach staff and drive continuous improvement, acting as a role model for best practice. You will support people to design their support plans, assist with rota management, maintain records, and deputise for the Support Manager as needed.

Qualifications

• Relevant Health and Social Care qualification at Level 3 or above or SCQF 7 or above.
• Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
• Leadership or coaching experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision‑making skills.
• Confidence in using digital systems (e.g. Excel, care planning software).
• Flexible working hours, willingness to travel locally and work across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Mentor teams and coach support staff on shift.
• Lead continuous improvement and role model best practice.
• Support people to design their support plans and manage rosters.
• Maintain records, address concerns, and conduct audits.
• Deputise for the Support Manager and promote inclusion, rights and independence.
• Represent the company and adhere to policies.
