Job summary

Babcock is recruiting for a Deputy Head of Site in Walsall to support the Head of Site in a complex engineering and manufacturing environment. You will guide strategic direction and drive day-to-day performance across production, projects, customer accounts and enabling functions, focusing on safety, quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.

You will lead site performance reviews, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage contracts and budgets, and implement continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Significant operational leadership in a complex manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Experience delivering safety, quality, delivery, cost and people targets.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and resolving cross-functional delivery challenges.
• Strong customer and contract management experience.
• Commercial and financial awareness including budgeting, forecasting and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategic objectives into clear operational plans and priorities.
• Coordinate performance across production, projects, customer accounts and enabling functions.
• Lead site performance reviews, action tracking, escalations and recovery planning.
• Monitor safety, security, quality, delivery, cost, cash, people and risk performance and drive corrective action.
• Embed operational excellence and standardised ways of working across the site.
