Are you seeking a new challenge to expand your knowledge and skills in a new specialty or to enhance your existing expertise? We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can use their initiative to support and develop the team on Washbrook Ward. A positive and flexible approach, along with the ability to support new ways of working, is essential.

Washbrook ward is a diverse 27-bedded unit providing care for medical patients with various conditions. Patients typically have a predicted length of stay of under seven days.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to positively impact the standard of care our patients receive and help develop and influence the careers of others within the team. You should possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate patience and understanding, and show recent professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide leadership and teaching within the Unit environment under the guidance of the Ward Sister.
  2. Support the Ward Sister in general management tasks such as appraisals, 1-1s, and other administrative duties.
  3. Enable staff to deliver high-quality, individualized care through knowledge, good example, and education.
  4. Support and supervise nursing staff, and effectively coordinate resources within the ward.
  5. Assist in providing the Cardiac Monitoring Service across the hospital, including telemetry monitoring.
