An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse to join the innovative OTC @ Home Service at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. The successful candidate will demonstrate their excellent clinical skills and commitment to high-quality patient care within a dynamic team, providing vital treatments and support to patients in their homes and the OTC. This role requires a passionate nurse with haematology/oncology experience and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

We are looking to recruit a band 6 Deputy sister/charge nurse to join the current team OTC @ Home Service. This will provide treatments to patients in their own home as well as working some shifts on the Osborne Treatment Centre (OTC) at the LRI.
The successful candidate will be joining an established team with a record of excellence and innovative practices. The department provides outpatient treatment, triage assessment and follow up care for patients with Haematological and Oncological conditions.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse with clinical experience within haematology/oncology nursing. You will be able to demonstrate excellent clinical skills in Haematology/Oncology nursing care and have a passion for this specialty. Knowledge and skills in the safe administration of SACT, care of CVAD'S and other associated supportive treatments is essential.
You will be expected to work as part of a team as well as autonomously. Also on call on a rota basis is required once competence in apheresis is obtained.
Actively contribute to the improvement of services and the quality of care provision to meet the needs of patients, service users and their families.Act as a role model, mentoring, teaching, assessing and supporting students and learners on placement and participate in the education, development and mentorship of other staff
