  • Ensure all transport requests are completed in line with Joint Service Publication (JSP) 800 Vol 5.
  • Allocate and supervise MT colleagues within delegated authority.
  • Monitor attendance, conduct and performance as required.
  • Make sure drivers have the correct documentation, equipment and task information.
  • Follow procedures for reporting vehicle faults, defects and breakdowns.
  • Allocate trained and qualified personnel to suitable vehicles for each request.
  • Brief drivers fully to ensure tasks are completed safely and effectively.
  • Support cost-effective and safe vehicle scheduling.
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture with zero compromise.
  • Ensure compliance with Operator's Licence requirements and relevant legislation (including ISO standards, HASAW Act and COSHH).
  • Use the Clarity fleet management system to support daily operations.
  • Report any operational, safety, compliance or risk issues to MT leadership.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation and policies.
  • Undertake driving duties when required.

A full driving licence Cat D and Cat C (C+E desirable).

  • A Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC).
  • Colour perception that meets the required standard for an Airfield Driving Permit.
  • IT literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
