This is a great opportunity for someone who is ready to take on greater responsibility, develop their leadership skills and make a real difference to the performance of the team.

Working alongside the Shift Lead, you'll help provide direction to colleagues, coordinate day-to-day production activities and ensure we deliver the right products, to the right quality, safely and on time.

  • Ensuring all company and statutory Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental requirements are followed.
What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who is positive, proactive and ready to take ownership.

You may already have experience in a production or manufacturing leadership role, or you may be an experienced production team member who is ready to take the next step. Most importantly, you'll have the attitude, communication skills and willingness to learn needed to succeed.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • A positive work ethic and enthusiastic approach.
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and use your own initiative.
  • A willingness to learn new skills and develop your knowledge.
  • The ability to carry out visual and dimensional quality checks.
  • Experience or knowledge of the safe use of overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
  • Fire Marshal and First Aid training.
  • An understanding of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
  • IOSH qualification, or a willingness to work towards one.
  • A genuine interest in continuous improvement and sustainable working practices.
Your opportunity to make a difference

At Manthorpe, this isn't simply a role where you'll help keep production moving. You'll have the opportunity to influence how the shop floor operates, support your colleagues and help us find better ways of working.

Whether you're already part of the Manthorpe team and looking to take the next step in your career, or you're joining us from another manufacturing environment, we're interested in people who are prepared to take ownership, work together and find a better way.
