Job summary

E‑ACT Bristol Academy South seeks a committed Deputy SEND Lead to oversee SEND provision and work with staff, families and external agencies to remove barriers to learning. You will coordinate strategies to support students’ academic, social and emotional development within an inclusive academy.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current SEND legislation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, colleagues and external professionals.
• Ability to analyse information and identify appropriate support strategies.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the SENDCO in the strategic and operational delivery of SEND provision across the academy.
• Monitor the progress and attainment of pupils with SEND.
• Coordinate annual reviews for pupils with Education, Health and care Plans.
• Lead on the coordination and administration of Examination Access Arrangements (EAA).
• Liaise with parents, carers and families to support outcomes for pupils.
