A leading UK university is seeking a Deputy Security Manager to enhance the student experience through effective security operations. Reporting to the Security Manager, the Deputy Security Manager will oversee security operations across the Waterloo Campus, associated residences, and other areas. They will serve as the primary contact for all Security Supervisors and will assist and lead on security response and team management for the Waterloo Campus.
The Deputy Security Manager will ensure all security staff demonstrate high standards of conduct and customer-centric skills through effective management and leadership. Maintaining a visible presence on site, they will address issues promptly and provide expert advice to ensure exceptional service delivery.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the security industry, particularly in demanding, high-footfall, and multi-site environments. They should possess strong incident and critical security management skills, a customer-focused approach, and proven team leadership. Experience working with Unions and knowledge of HR matters are highly advantageous. Excellent communication skills are essential for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
