About The Role

Days of Working: Variable across the week.

The Deputy Security Manager (DSM) will primarily be based at East Bank but must also visit other sites as needed, overseeing officers and event management, as instructed by the Security Manager.

The role involves working Monday to Friday, with potential weekend shifts for events or operational needs. Working hours may be extended on event days, with compensatory hours when operations are quieter, coordinated with the Security Manager.

Supporting the Security Manager, the DSM oversees security operations across 17 sites within the UAL contract, manages security teams, ensures smooth event and non-event operations, and maintains health & safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deputize for the Security Manager and oversee daily security operations.
2. Manage staff scheduling and rostering using Timegate.
3. Ensure staffing coverage, including sickness and holiday cover.
4. Coordinate with the UAL Events Team and external agencies for event planning.
5. Conduct site visits, support team development, and monitor training compliance.
6. Oversee payroll checks and invoicing for security services.
7. Ensure health & safety compliance and conduct risk assessments.
8. Be available for out-of-hours support as needed.

Requirements

1. Experience with security and event management.
2. Knowledge of rostering systems (Timegate), payroll, and compliance processes.
3. SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV Licences are required.
4. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work flexibly, including occasional weekends.
6. Full UK driver’s license required.
