The Stanway School in Colchester is seeking a dedicated Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our safeguarding team. You will support the DSL, manage a caseload, and help ensure a safe, inclusive environment for all students, staff and volunteers.

You should have school-based experience, be pro-active, and passionate about helping children succeed. Strong communication and teamwork are essential as we uphold safeguarding policies and drive positive outcomes for pupils.

• Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead to provide a safe environment for students, staff and volunteers.
• Manage a dedicated caseload of safeguarding cases.
• Act as main contact for staff reporting safeguarding concerns; triage and follow policy.
• Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive school culture where pupils feel confident to raise concerns.
