Harris Academy Tottenham is seeking a deputy designated safeguarding lead to support child protection across the school. The role includes referring suspected abuse and safeguarding concerns to external agencies, and assisting staff with referrals while maintaining the CPOMS system.

The post is 41 weeks per year at 37.5 hours per week, reporting to governors and Ofsted. An enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK are required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Formación

• Training in child protection and safeguarding procedures
• Experience in safeguarding
• Knowledge of safeguarding agencies and processes

Responsabilidades

• Refer suspected abuse to local authority children's social care and support staff with referrals
• Refer radicalisation concerns to the Channel programme and support staff who make referrals
• Refer cases where risk of harm leads to DBS review
• Refer cases where a crime may have been committed to the police
• Deliver whole-school safeguarding training
• Prepare and present safeguarding information to governors, ALG and Ofsted
• Manage CPOMS and train staff on its use
• Keep secure, detailed records of concerns and referrals
• Advise staff on the Prevent duty and safeguarding SEND pupils
