Job summary

The Victory Academy is expanding its pastoral and safeguarding team with a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) and Deputy Attendance Improvement Coordinator. You will assist in safeguarding students on Child Protection Plans, triage concerns, and respond to incidents, while supporting attendance initiatives to enhance student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experienced in working with children, young people, and families / carers.
• Attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Knowledgeable about safeguarding legislation, child protection procedures, and multi-agency working.
• Organised, calm under pressure, and able to manage sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
• Confident in making referrals, guiding staff, and supporting students through challenging situations.
• A collaborative team player with a genuine commitment to student welfare.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Designated Safeguarding Lead in safeguarding duties.
• Triage safeguarding concerns, respond to incidents, and take timely, appropriate action to meet statutory duties.
