Job summary

The Victory Academy in Maidstone is expanding its pastoral and safeguarding team and invites applications for a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) including the Deputy Attendance Improvement Coordinator role.

You will support the Designated Safeguarding Lead in safeguarding students on CP plans, vulnerable or Looked After, triaging concerns, responding to incidents, and taking timely action to meet statutory duties.

Qualifications

• Experience with children, young people and families.
• Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and multi-agency working.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DSL in safeguarding duties and incident response.
• Triaging safeguarding concerns for students on CP plans or who are vulnerable.
• Support attendance initiatives to reduce absence levels and monitor referrals.
